Zone’in Workshops

Hi Judy,

I’m a Mom, as well as a pediatric occupational therapist and sensory specialist and CEO of Zone’in Programs Inc., offering products, workshops and training to address the effects of technology overuse on children.

Working in the schools for a decade and raising two children myself, I began to notice increasing child developmental delays (15%), obesity (15%), and mental health disorders (14%), often with accompanying medical diagnosis (ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression) and use of psychotropic medication.

Looking at the research, I also saw a parallel trend of increasing overuse of technology by children now averaging eight hour per day (movies, internet, TV, video games), showing causal links to above noted physical and mental disorders.

To treat the sensory and motor delays in children and improve ability to pay attention, print and read, I created Zone’in and Move’in school and home based programs released ~ 3 years ago. In order to better manage technology use in children I created Unplug’in and Live’in programs released this year.
