Hypersensitivities

Hi Daniel,

I’m an occupational therapist and certified sensory specialist, with expertise on the impact of technology on human development and would like to comment on people who demonstrate sensory hypersensitivities.

I could comment on neurophysiology, in particular the reticular activating system, which acts as a filter for incoming sensory information. Or I could comment on sensory imbalance from technology overuse, over stimulation of the visual and auditory systems and understimulation of movement, touch and human connection – resulting in sensory overload. I also could comment on auditory and tactile hypersensitivity in children with ADHD and Autism, and their ability to perceive and resonate with human energy states.

Our current society (especially schools) is not accommodating sensory hypersensitivities very well, and many of these people appear at a disadvantage. I would like to comment on how we could turn this around so that these people can be maximally productive and use their unique talents to the better society as a whole.

I’m currently working with Microsoft on a concept I’ve developed called Balanced Technology Management. My bio, published article, radio interviews and fact sheet is on my website.

Have a GREAT day!

Sincerely,
